Good Learning Anywhere is pleased to announce that Kandy-Lyn Bartsch is our 1st Learner of the Month (January) for 2013.

Upon receiving notification that Kandy-Lyn won this award, her mentor Cyd, asked her a few questions about her learning journey.

What advice do you have for someone thinking about upgrading their skills?

My advice is to go for it, you can’t go wrong with upgrading your skills at any age.

How did you start? Did you face struggles?

I was recommended by T.R Leger School. Yes I did face many struggles.  Accessing a computer and finding time was hard to manage. Learning how to write a plain sentence correctly and spelling was a problem for me.

What is your greatest achievement?

Being able to access a computer and making time to work on my studies. Learning new skills in writing and reading.

What are your goals for the future?

My future goals are to use these skills in everyday life and for future employment.

On behalf of Sioux Hudson Literacy Council, Good Learning Anywhere and the Board of Directors, we wish Kandy-Lyn best of luck as she continue to work towards achieving her goals.
